The Municipal Advisory Committee of the Dawid Kruiper Municipal Council has decided that the application for the renaming of Schroder Street to Alfred Qayiso Gubula Street be accepted and that a public participation process be initiated. The public participation process will be for the next 21 days from 11 July 2025 to 01 August 2025.

The public participation process will include:

Ward Committee meetings in the affected wards, Constituency meetings within the affected wards, Public Hearing for the entire Dawid Kruiper Municipal Area, Notices in the local media, Notice on the social media platforms of the Municipality, Notice on the local community radio,

The community of the Dawid Kruiper Municipality is requested to provide their inputs, comments regarding the application for the renaming to the Municipal Manager, Dr Elias Ntoba.
