The electricity supply to AHS Waterworks has been affected as a result of the rain experienced yesterday the 29th of March 2022.

Areas within the Upington and surrounding settlements will experience water supply interruptions or low pressure. All reservoirs have extremely low levels.
The electrical department is currently attending to the failure.

Planned preventative maintenance in the clean water pump station, which was scheduled for next week has now been initiated during this shutdown period.

Water supply interruptions may still be experienced even after the both repair work activities is completed. This may vary based on the available water in the respective pipelines, reservoirs and start-up of the associated pump stations. 

Please utilize the available water sparingly at all times and not for irrigation purposes during this period!
